Murcia’s new international airport is now open and operational (RMU)
Murcia’s new international airport is finally open and fully operational.
Situated in southern Spain, between Murcia and Cartagena, it is linked to the highway network and has a good conection to the nearby touristic area, as well as modern facilities.
Commercial flights are heading there, replacing the military San Javier airport, which previously acted as the region’s hub.
The new airport was opened by King Felipe VI of Spain, following a €500m construction project.
Currently the airport only has routes to the UK and Ireland: Birmingham, Bournemouth, Dublín, East Midlands, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, Londres Luton, Londres Stansted and Manchester.
The Corvera airport will be the main airport for the region of Murcia making this area an admirable destination for all year round events. E&TB can organize your Incentive Trips, Congresses or Meetings in the sunny region of la Costa Cálida.
